Serves 2
Ingredients :
- 200g Cuttlefish
- 2tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp chillie pwder
- fennel seeds
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 onion diced
- finely chopped garlic & ginger
- tomatoes
- 2 tsp oil
- curry leaves/minchi
- Cloves, cardamon, cinnamon (optional)
- Soy Sauce (optional)
- Heat a pan , add 2 tsp oil.Then after few seconds add fennel seed and saute till fragrant.
- Then add cuttlefish cut into 1' inch pieces/rings and saute it lightly.Its good if the cuttlefish is pre-soaked.Otherwise be careful when you are adding cuttlefish into oil.
- Now add 2 tsp garam masala, 1tsp chillie powder and 1 cup of water.Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 10 minutes
- Then after 10 minutes cooking add turmeric and salt,stir it well, leave it until the wateriness disappear and it looks dry
- Now you can add finely chopped garlic and ginger and curry leaves.Stir for 2minutes and add onion, green chillies, tomatoes, soy sauce , and herbs .
- After another 5 minutes you are done.(you can add some more water after adding herbs if you want gravy)
- Make sure you add some lime juice before you serve it .
